What’s a Terrarium?
The definition of “terrarium” is a (usually) sealed, transparent container that houses plants and/or animals. That’s pretty broad, though. What does the average terrarium look like?
Typically a terrarium is made in a glass or plastic container that can be sealed to retain humidity and reduce maintenance needs. They often contain tropical plants and mosses, or can be designed to sustain reptiles, amphibians, or other small animals.
